Only 7 Republican Reps have Posted against NOvember Issue 1

Many claim to defend the Unborn. Only a few put it in words when it counts.

(UPDATE 9/24/23 8:22p – PLEASE SEE FACEBOOK for latest updates. As of this post, 14 Reps out of 67 have posted. Also: Our original count of “6” has been updated to “7”. A different FB account for Jena Powell was provided to us, and she did have a post on 9/15/23 evening that met the criteria.)

Only 7 out of 67 Republican OH State Representatives have publicly made *Original Posts* in their Facebook feeds and/or websites since 8/8/23 about ANYTHING pertaining to the NOvember late-term abortion amendment.

We have identified the 7 who actually live-up to their claims of being “Pro-Life”. These bold warriors for the Unborn, with district numbers are:

Josh Williams – 41
Jennifer Gross – 45
Adam Mathews – 56
Angela N King – 84
Gary Click – 88
Bob Peterson – 91

Jena Powell – 80

That means that you have 60 elected Representatives posting NOTHING: many of whom SAY that they will “defend the unborn” are “pro-life” or (my favorite) are supporting “God, Guns and Babies” (Justin Pizzulli, district 90). They are either asleep at the wheel, liars or cowards.

Several are even stupid enough to have their last (aging) Facebook post in their feed be about urging their constituents to vote in the affirmative for the 8/8 election. (This includes the lauded Derek Merrin) Some even still have this, along with “Issue 1” as their avatar. Some have a post in their feed bemoaning the 8/8 loss, while making it sound like the battle was ended and ‘there’ll probably be fights in the future’.

It makes one wonder if some of these Representatives are even truly “Republicans”.

There’s 7 weeks to go. On our webpage at OhioElectionForum.com, we have ALL the links we found, to their Facebook pages and websites (if they have these: it’s stunning that some of these folks were even elected, who don’t have a Facebook profile or webpage).

CRITERIA: We reviewed only Facebook pages, websites and the Representative’s OhioHouse.gov page between 2p and 11p 9/16/23. The Rep needed to have some kind of *Original Post* AFTER the failure of the 8/8 vote, referencing the need to block the NOvember vote. Of note: NO Rep has yet published a Press Release regarding Nov. on their official page. We looked for anything that specifically mentioned the NOvember issue by name, or (in the case of Bob Peterson) at least referenced the concerns about what Issue 1 will do. Some Reps had post-8/8 comments, but did not mention anything about NOvember AFTER the failure of the 8/8 vote. Regarding fairness: MANY of these Reps post daily or semi-daily about their whereabouts, appearances at local fairs, etc. So, they could certainly add a Post about the need to vote NO in NOvember.
