Ohio Election Forum (OEF) was started in late January 2022 on the premise that we would field social media content for all conservative candidates, giving them pre-approval rights, focus on stories, not memes, and also strive to be a grassroots ‘news organization’. We also believed that we would not get involved in Endorsements.
Although I’m often the ‘face’ of OEF, our leadership is actually a collaborative group of Patriots, trying to do what’s best for our fellow conservatives. We are now in unanimous agreement that we must issue an official Endorsement in the 2022 Gubernatorial race in Ohio. We’ve also agreed that if we do other Endorsements in the future, it will only be if our active leadership is in unanimous consensus, as we are today.
As Ohio Election Forum endorses Marshall Usher and Shannon Walker, Write-in candidates for Ohio Governor 2022, we have to say that this is really an “easy call”. How many times have you seen The Plain Dealer or The Columbus Dispatch or some other news organization try to come up with ridiculous reasons why their chosen candidates fulfill some sort of “objective journalist principle” and laugh, knowing that it’s nothing of the sort?
In this case, it is easy: We are a Forum for Conservatives. There is only 1 viable conservative candidate team for Governor this year, and that is Usher/Walker. Whaley/Stephens are ultra liberal Democrats, and it’s objectively an absolute farse if anyone claims that DeWine/Husted are “conservative”.
DeWine/Husted perpetrated the most egregious power grab Ohio has ever known, practically spitting on the principles of our Constitutional form of government, with fascist, unlawful and unfair ‘Lockdowns’, mask mandates, curfews, lotteries, and encouragement of forced medical procedures mandated by businesses against their employees and customers. If ever there was a simple definition of actions that would NOT be “conservative” or “republican” in nature, DeWine and Husted have done it. (And obviously, Nan Whaley as Mayor of Dayton issued and enforced the same or similar un-American actions, just on a smaller scale.)
All of us involved in Ohio Election Forum’s leadership spent time, money and resources in 2020 to the present fighting the absolute tyranny of DeWine and people like Whaley. We attended, spoke at or ran medical freedom protests, events and supported other like-minded candidates for office who believe that the Constitution of the United States and of Ohio protect individual liberty regarding what goes into a person’s body, upon their face, or how late they can travel at night. Nursing Homes are not early tombs meant to entrap our elderly loved ones, for us to only visit behind a wall or glass of separation. Corporations are not fiefdoms for CEO Kings to lord over their employees, passing down insane ‘orders’ from the Governor (or Mayor) over how many feet apart customers or employees must stand, or what kind of pharmaceutical is pumped into their veins.
Only Marshall Usher and Shannon Walker represent a bona fide freedom vote against the madness that DeWine and Whaley have proven they will do, if given power. Usher/Walker have a proven and reliable history with the Blystone campaign, and if everyone (including the candidates themselves) of the other failed Gubernatorial campaigns were as serious about freedom and defeating DeWine as they have claimed, they would be doing the same thing OEF is doing now.
There is no other choice for any Ohioan who claims to support “conservative values”. The Usher “Sunshine Plan for Ohio” hits every line item on a Patriot’s ‘want list’. (see UsherForOhio.com) Usher and Walker are the only candidates that you can have a high confidence won’t try to enslave you. The only thing you’re going to have to do is actually physically write Usher’s name in the voting booth, rather than checking a box. You’ll need to share the news, ahead of November 8th, 2022.
It’s a small price to pay for freedom from the fascists like DeWine and Whaley who have enslaved you for months, even years, since early 2020.
